Please read if you’ve been eyeing Scouts or Caldera Subwoofers

Ladies and gentlemen good evening,

I've waited as long as I possibly could before saying this and believe me it really pains me to share this with you tonight.

At this very moment, we have 100 Caldera 10s, 100 Caldera 12s, and the next 200 pairs of Scouts already in process, with much of it arriving next week.

Today, I placed orders for another 400 pairs of Scouts and 200 each of the Caldera 10s and 12s, because I fear the worst is finally upon us.

Starting November 1st, prices will have to increase:

Scouts will have to go to $400~450,
Caldera 10s will go up to approximately $300~350 or maybe a tad more,
Caldera 12s will go to at least $550 or maybe $599. 
This is all due to tariffs — something I’ve done everything I can to hold off as long as possible.

I’ll be able to move all current production before November 1st, which means I can protect today’s pricing for a few more weeks. Orders placed now will be covered under the current rates.

I'm really sorry. I just don't know what else I can do.

Our orders have doubled and in some cases tripled over the last 60 days, and our partners in China have done a great job trying to keep up but normally they would require much longer lead times from me than I'm asking for.

I can’t tell you how badly I feel about this. I love these products deeply, and I’m proud of how they’ve performed both in the market and in our homes. But at some point, I have to ensure that margins are healthy enough for us to keep going and keep building what we all love.

If you’ve been considering the Scout Loudpeakers, Caldera 10 or Caldera 12 Subwoofers, I would ask you to consider getting them on order. While current backlog is being filled next week in its entirety, these orders will be here in 18 days if I use fast boat, and I'll be able to still address demand through November 1st fairly easily.
