Brilliant little powerhouse speaker. Warm sound with great space and detail. They were worth the wait!
I paid quite a lot extra to have them shipped to Australia because of the weight, which made me question the purchase at the time but it was definitely worth it! They sound terrific. Awesome speakers.
Vera Fi adapter “AC Tuning X”.
When I received the (SDFB) Swiss Digital Fuse Box (s) with the graphene slugs for my Mono amps I tried it with the piggy tails that Vera-Fi also offered. Honestly, the sound took a back seat, anemic best described it. I believe the wiring in the piggy tails was just not beefy enough for my Hi-Powered amps. I tried other short AC cables from the likes of Snake River Takshaka and others, but they just didn’t impress.
So, since I am using AudioQuest Dragon power cords I put the SDFB away for a while, but I continued to use the graphene slugs in the amps. I really liked the sound with the graphene slug instead of the Synergistic Fuses, so I went without any fuse protection.
Mark eventually released a new item calling it the AC Tuning X. It connects up to the SDFB. This item takes the place of another power cord (i.e. Piggy tails). It has a female IEC on one end and a male IEC on the other. Internally the unit contains another graphene fuse. Seemed kind of redundant but Mark offers other types of slugs that can be used for fine tuning the sound.
When I first hooked everything back up, I was expecting more of the same from my first experience. But wait, it didn’t sound too terrible. I am enough of a cable proponent that I believe things have to break in for a while before passing judgment.
So, I gave it all a week of continuous voltage and music playing. At the end of this time, I can honestly say I am very pleased. The sound is strong, defined, with bass to love and the overall sound quality is improved.
My $$$ AudioQuest Dragon power cords are not short changed.
Highly recommended.

I replaced a dead Polk psw110 and am very pleased with the results!
Amazingly open and smooth mids to upper-base range with a sweet but not peaky highs. Very easy to listen to. For $299? Crazy good. And the sales and service are top notch. Highly recommend.
Using this in my TV room with a LG C5 and a Sennheiser Ambeo sound bar and I have seen and heard an improvement. Well done, gentlemen!
It's 8:15 a.m., do you know where your Swiss Digital Fuse Box is, I ask myself. It's then my unrealistic mind realizes that the only thing missing from a Swiss Digital Fuse Box is a dog or cat whistle sensor so that it will be present when I whistle.
In half-seriousness, I have in my permanent collection 3 SDFB (6.3 amp x 2 + 2.5 amp x 1) and I have 2 Infinity Fuses---right now. Sure I could use 1 Infinity Fuse in place of 1 6.3 rated SDFB, but garr, I'm feeling like a parent in a supermarket when a beloved family member is... sorta missing. A sorta missing SDFB is unacceptable. So, with an array of Sluggos in my bathrobe pocket, my search continues. I'm about to post pictures and a reward amount on a telephone pole over this.
But first, I'll assign 1 Infinity Fuse to 6.3 amp slo blo mode duty and listen to audio as my search continues. If this is the worst of my problems, I'm having a grossly fine experience with SDFB and Infinity Fuse---and other excellent Vera Fi Products as well.
When the MainStream and SnubWay are connected to my audio system, the drumbeats have become tight and powerful. I love the feeling of being enveloped by the music.
I am very happy with the sound and performance of this attractively priced subwoofer. It is better than I expected. Vera-Fi kept in touch with shipping updates and I was satisfied with the service. This subwoofer was not in stock when I ordered it. That can happen. Five Stars for service and product.
For the money ($200), you get a much better sounding subwoofer than you'd think was possible. It is not boomy or muffled, it provides bass detail. It will not fill a large room with window rattling bass, but what do you want for $200? It has plenty of volume and low bass for me beneath my desk for my desktop system. Most subwoofers in this price class sound muddy. This one isn't. The finish is acceptable. Since no one can see it beneath my desk it doesn't matter anyway. I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars because the auto on/off feature is a bit wonky--if not enough bass is coming through, it produces an intermittent clicking sound through the speakers, so I just leave the switch in the on position all the time. Also, the first one I received had the driver partially hanging out of the cabinet and it couldn't be fixed because the screws had pulled out of the pressed wood. That may have been shipping damage, but it let me see that the cabinet material is not robust. However, Vera-fi immediately apologized, paid for return shipping back to them, and immediately sent me another. The service was excellent. All in all, this subwoofer is an extremely good buy.
All of Mark's products are great for a reasonable price. These helped add even more clarity to the already outstanding Swiss Digital Fusebox. Great job!
Nice units well built effective at lowering the noise floor
Going from no sub to this bad boy is amazing. Movies are next level, and I can enjoy my music on a whole other level! Also the Owner Mark is very helpful and responsive.
EASY BUTTON! Vera-link takes away all the wiring problems. They are plenty powerful and so easy to use. Yes, you can have spotify for example running from your mobile phone on the Scouts with just a phone and the Vera-links plugged into the wall outlet. SO EASY!
Very well made 10 inch subs! Buying the two Caldera 10 subs was a great decision. They really bring out space in the music and provide solid tonal support for the Scouts. They are an incredible value for the money. The design is very space efficient as at least in my house real estate on the floor is at a premium. They are small for the results you achieve.
Buying the Scout and Vera-link combo is the music EASY button. I can play music with them I just need WIFI and a phone. My wife asked me to replace a CD based music system in our kitchen/great room that my wife used all the time. It took about three days, but my wife is comfortable playing music from Spotify. No more CDs, just a vast music selection. We are living in the future and it's great!
Out of the box the redwood finish stunned my wife and I as incredibly beautiful. So is the sound. with the subs it's a room filling sound. I was listening to Spotify and supertramp came on and I was drawn into the music as I distinctly heard the vibrato in the lead singer's voice. They are a rounded well balanced sound. No edgy brightness you often get when smaller speakers are pushed too hard. Well done!
If you have the Swiss digital fuse box you owe it to yourself to try the AC tuning X. Connecting your fuse box with an identical power cord can be prohibitively expensive, but utilizing the AC tuning X is like having your fuse box with direct connection to your power source. The music just flows with energy! Everything is enhanced. I had the top level piggy tail connected to my fuse box prior, but this setup is in a different league! This sounds like a component level upgrade for a very reasonable price. I plan on using this setup for everything that takes a power cord in my system. If you couldn’t tell, I’m thrilled!
I currently have four AC Tunings X installed (one in the CD player with Super Sluggo, one in the preamp, and two in the monoblocks, these last three being AC Tunings with Graphene Sluggos). I've burned approximately 50 hours of recording time so far. The improvements I'm noticing are: clearer voices, greater instrument separation, the soundstage has expanded upwards and to the sides, the softer highs and mids and more articulate the bass. In short, a great success by VeraFi Audio with Mark at the helm.
Once, a friend with extensive experience in the world of HiFi told me that "the best cable is the one that doesn't exist." It took me years to understand exactly what he meant, but I think this statement perfectly describes the AC Tunings X, since in my specific case it has allowed me to eliminate a link in the chain, specifically the piggy tail cable. Therefore, the AC Tunings X become the most logical extension of the SDFB.
My sincerest congratulations to the entire VeraFi Audio team for this excellent accessory.
