I’ve had unit installed about 4 weeks now and really happy.
I’m very impressed with the SDFB. I’ve used many high-end fuses before, but most tend to alter the tonality, introduce noticeable midrange distortion, and result in bloated, loose bass. In contrast, the SDFB preserves the original tonality while significantly improving bass performance—offering greater detail, tighter control, and a clear reduction in distortion across the entire spectrum. The soundstage also expands substantially.
I briefly compared it directly with a fuse-less setup and can confirm that while there’s a slight reduction in body and bloom, the SDFB is the closest I’ve heard to running without a fuse.
Incredible micro-details far back deep in the soundstage are now noticeable and distinct. Like another deeper layer of the orchestra opened up. And those details aren't exaggerated or brought forward...they are textured, clear, but delicate and further away (as they should be).
And the first time my system has properly rendered a piccolo (playing a high note) without any shrill glare that would previously cause it to sound artificial.
Same with triangle strikes. Very clean, round with no harsh edge.
They are as effective in lowering noise and revealing detail as the many I have tried in the past. However, they are making a little additional magic that no other plug-ins could provide. Music flows with ease and smoothness, but it is more than that. The PRaT was at its best playing from all my sources, and the music became more engaging. I also noticed the soundstage and instrument separation turned better and became more believable.
Easy to use. Price lower than expected. Sound quality better than expected. Great product for new audiophiles and senior citizens. I’m using it frequently.

As a late-comer to the fuse-upgrade culture, I'm glad that I finally stepped into the realm of SDFBs. I currently use a pair of Dutch and Dutch 8Cs sourced by Grimm Audio Mu2 as reference. I replaced all three fuses with SDFB and Graphene Sluggos. On my 8Cs, not only it opened up the soundstage, it did so without any sacrifice, the soundstage is more defined and the presentation is embodied with better clarity and even better focused - large orchestral passages become more layered, the tonality more visceral and congested sections more relaxed without sounding "loose". The additional graphene added to my Grimm Mu2 tightened the overall focus even more and further enhanced the overall realism of my system. This upgrade to me is fundamental and astounding. It ranked among the best upgrades that I'd ever experienced!
The single most effective "tweak"
Amazing, pretty much sums it up. Everything I’ve read about the SDFB, I found to me true in my 300 b amp.
This is my first Vera-Fi product. My system, except amp, runs through a 25# noise reduction Topaz transformer. The SnubWay still made a sonic improvement. There is a band of hash and grit in the lower highs that is greatly reduced. The system sounds so much more pleasant and relaxing.
This works so well, I purchased a 2nd SnubWay for the amp and a Main Stream for the complete system. Amazing improvement. The system now sounds the same day or night. I can listen for hours without fatigue. Highly recommended.
Didn't think the Main Stream would make a positive difference since I live in the boonies, with no neighbors. My home has a dedicated transformer on the utility pole. I was wrong. The Main Stream improved detail and the instruments have more color. Thankfully it doesn't decrease dynamics. Highly recommended.
The delivery was done a long time ago, but due to the internet line at home being down, I was only able to set it up and test it today. It’s truly impressive. It feels like the sound has come alive. I can’t believe how much of a difference this one thing can make.
Back in my audio years (70's 80's and 90's) no one talked about AC line filtering. We sold a "power conditioner" from Monster Cable but all it really did was compress the music! I don't think anyone really knew anything about what was on the AC line and how it affected a system's sound quality. But back then, customers balked when we suggested that they upgrade to a 12 gauge power cord for an extra $45!
I have auditioned a few of your competitor's products and while they did "something" none of them made as big a difference as your two filters. You have every right to be proud of your products as they really make a significant difference. I wish you every success in marketing your filters in a field that is crowded with voodoo clones some of which selling at stupidly high prices!
My Main Stream and SnubWay filters arrived a week ago today. I plugged both into the back of my power conditioner replacing one of your older Puron filters. (I was so impressed with the performance of your older filter that I decided to gamble on upgrading to this pair of filters.) They have been in my system now for about 140 hours. Listening at my normal level to my favorite tracks, the music was noticeable louder. As I listened, I realized that the overall volume had not increased but the dynamic contrasts within the music were greatly improved. I assume this was due to a further reduction of the noise floor. The other thing I noticed was that very subtle details in the background, bells, brushes on cymbals, wood blocks, while clearly resolved in the past, were part of a “sonic fabric.” That fabric was now gone and each of these delicate sounds now existed in three-dimensional space with a sense of air around them and their own dynamic range. For a guy like me, who loves hearing these inner details, my listening engagement went off the charts. Long story short, this pair of filters made my system more transparent, more engaging and brought me closer to the experience of listening to live music. If anyone out there is fence-sitting, debating on getting these, ORDER THEM! I have spent thousands on cable upgrades and not heard as big an improvement as these filters provide.
I'm taking the time to give you some feedback about the Noise Defender + Mainstream pack, which you recommended to me.
As a reminder, they are connected to a sophisticated crossover dedicated solely to my two stereo units and my preamplifier.
Immediate results: the background is darker, the bass has more weight without being intrusive, the mixing lines are better separated and more distinct; finally, the musicians in the background are more present and more readable. A useful complement to the SDFB already purchased!
Bliss at a low cost given the promotion, and your friendliness and business sense are always renewed.
In my case, it's a necessary accessory to connect the SDFB to my CD player.
The result has been very good.

I have always been reluctant to use a subwoofer with my Proac 1SC bookshelf speakers, but Mark assured me that 2 Calderas would blend beautifully with them and indeed they did. With the Caldara10s, the Proacs not only sound full range but the soundstage has opened up and the presentation is a bit more relaxed. I can’t believe they cost so little. I am truly impressed with the way the Calderas have improved my system. Thank you Mark for your expert guidance in helping me make this purchase. I couldn’t be happier.
Creative thinking lead to the creation of this product which is an excellent addition.
This subwoofer pair was a curiosity buy as i have many other subs, but, it seems to have the right concoction for a very musical subwoofer on a budget. I purchased this pair for a second system. The paper cone and class A/B amp in this sub is part of the recipe for success. For sound quality, this sub beats out the REL subs with similar extension that are priced several times more. The designer of this sub is a genius for packing this level of bang for the buck in a budget subwoofer.
Give some time to break-in the driver.
This is one musical sub. No one- note flabby bass from this little guy. Very tuneful bass already, and it has only been playing at a low-ish volume for a couple hours. I know full well the quality and depth of the bass will only get better and better as it loosens up a bit. I have the Caldera 10 playing with a pair of Energy Veritas Mini Vs right now, but the bass has such good fidelity and is so fast, I will try it out with my Magnepan MG-12s in my main stereo set-up. This is a music first sub. It won't do the lowest octaves, but I rarely listen to big pipe organ music anyway. It is doing a great job with my music. For a small sub at such a small price, the Caldera 10 is a home run all day long. No kidding!
