Product Description
Product Description
To fully understand the potential benefits of Swiss Digital Fuse Box, we must first examine the pitfalls of the fuse.
A fuse is a simple, sacrificial device used to protect your component in case of electrical failure. When current is being drawn through the fuse, it begins to heat up, and in cases of excess current or short, it will melt and sever the connection to power. While this works to protect your devices, a common fuse leaves much to be desired in means of performance when it comes to our audio components.
Regardless of the size of the power cable feeding even your largest amplifiers, the live line feeding the power supply eventually becomes constricted to the single small filament housed in the fuse. Current draw through the filament causes heat, which in turn raises the resistance and limits the capability of the power supply as it digs deep to replenish its reserves in times of high demand and musical transients.
Our elegant solution is the Swiss Digital Fuse Box. After carefully reading the instructions, the restrictive fuse is replaced with a Sluggo, a very low resistance and high current capable metal rod made from high purity materials. Run a power cable from the wall to the Swiss Digital Fuse Box IEC C13 inlet, and then plug your component into the Fuse Box’s NEMA 15 receptacle and you are ready to experience what the Fuse Box has to offer.
Each Fuse Box is programmed at the time of ordering to match the manufacturer’s fuse specification for your device. An internal microcontroller magnetically monitors the current draw and opens the circuit via a low resistance relay if it exceeds the pre-programmed setting. Resetting the Swiss Digital Fuse Box if tripped is done simply by disconnecting it from the wall for a minimum of 15 seconds. Fuse Box will not lose its programming ever, and will continue to protect your device faithfully and without fault.
Please Note: We can program Swiss Digital Fuse Box for the voltage and frequency of your country, but all Fuse Boxes have a US style plug output and will require the appropriate power cable. Please see our Piggy Tail power cables if you need a short length cable for this purpose.
Sluggo
Sluggo is precision manufactured in the size of your typical 5x20mm or 6x32mm fuse, made out of your choice of high purity materials. All the sonic benefits of an audiophile fuse without the worry of an expensive failure. One Sluggo in either high purity brass, copper, or gold immersion (Super Sluggo) included with the purchase of the Swiss Digital Fuse Box. Additional Sluggo are available here.
High Purity Brass - Some power cable manufacturers utilize high purity brass terminations or gold immersed brass, and matching like metals can create an incredible pairing. This is our base model Sluggo.
High Purity Copper - Nothing but pure high purity copper in the conductor path providing all the benefits of Sluggo without imparting anything to the sound.
Super Sluggo - All of the benefits of high purity copper immersed in gold for greater warmth and immediacy. This is our standard and recommended Sluggo for starting out with Swiss Digital Fuse Box.
Super-Duper Sluggo - A tellurium copper Sluggo has been plated with Rhodium, our hardest plating that adds more of a sonically neutral aspect, leaning towards colder tonality to help fine tune your system
Graphene Sluggo - Graphene is a super conductor with up to 70% greater conductivity than copper, offering the closest thing to no fuse at all! Our TOL and highest recommended Sluggo. Ask us about a 20% discount to upgrade to Graphene for current Swiss Digital Fuse Box owners!
Piggy Tails
Swiss Digital Fuse Box has an IEC C13 inlet, and a NEMA 15 outlet on the other side. This allows you to use your performance power cable of choice to feed the Fuse Box, and still allows you to enjoy the benefits if you have an integral power cable on your audio component.
Our Piggy Tails are high performance, short interconnecting power cables for use with Swiss Digital Fuse Box or other high current power delivery products only requiring a short distance.
Piggy Tail - Our base model is a 1ft power cable constructed from 9 separate cores of 16-gauge 8N oxygen-free copper, each plated with 70 microns of extruded pure silver. Designed for ultra-low resistance and uncompromised signal integrity, this cable ensures your system benefits from stable, noise-free power without unnecessary bulk.
Super Piggy Tail - Stepping up from the base model, the Super Piggy Tail refines and expands upon its predecessor with even greater efficiency. Built with 3 cores conductor shaft with built-in oversized high-purity silver-plated oxygen-free high thermal conductivity (OFHC) square core copper + multi-strand pure copper, it delivers lower resistance, improved current flow, and even better shielding against electrical interference. Ideal for systems demanding more refined dynamics and an even lower noise floor.
Extreme Piggy Tail - For those who demand the absolute best, the Extreme Piggy Tail takes performance to another level. Available in 1ft and 2ft lengths, it doubles the number of silver-plated oxygen-free copper cores for even lower resistance and superior current capability. The result? Tighter bass, improved transient response, and effortless power delivery to high-current components.
Try the Swiss Digital Fuse Box for yourself in your own home. All products sold by Vera-Fi Audio are covered by a 30 day money back guarantee should you be dissatisfied in any way.

I’m very impressed with the SDFB. I’ve used many high-end fuses before, but most tend to alter the tonality, introduce noticeable midrange distortion, and result in bloated, loose bass. In contrast, the SDFB preserves the original tonality while significantly improving bass performance—offering greater detail, tighter control, and a clear reduction in distortion across the entire spectrum. The soundstage also expands substantially.
I briefly compared it directly with a fuse-less setup and can confirm that while there’s a slight reduction in body and bloom, the SDFB is the closest I’ve heard to running without a fuse.
Killer combination with SDFB
As a late-comer to the fuse-upgrade culture, I'm glad that I finally stepped into the realm of SDFBs. I currently use a pair of Dutch and Dutch 8Cs sourced by Grimm Audio Mu2 as reference. I replaced all three fuses with SDFB and Graphene Sluggos. On my 8Cs, not only it opened up the soundstage, it did so without any sacrifice, the soundstage is more defined and the presentation is embodied with better clarity and even better focused - large orchestral passages become more layered, the tonality more visceral and congested sections more relaxed without sounding "loose". The additional graphene added to my Grimm Mu2 tightened the overall focus even more and further enhanced the overall realism of my system. This upgrade to me is fundamental and astounding. It ranked among the best upgrades that I'd ever experienced!
The single most effective "tweak"
Amazing, pretty much sums it up. Everything I’ve read about the SDFB, I found to me true in my 300 b amp.
This is my 9th SDFB! I obviously like them!
In my case, it's a necessary accessory to connect the SDFB to my CD player.
The result has been very good.

Creative thinking lead to the creation of this product which is an excellent addition.
Great value at such a low price. Dynamic, quiet with great bass. Works well with the SDFB.
Having ordered and installed two of these in the past, one on my Lampizator DAC and the other on my PrimaLuna Evo 400 preamp, I was smitten as these devices made perhaps the largest difference in sound quality for the smallest expenditure I had ever made. So, two more were ordered for my tube mono block amps, they arrived, I installed and both popped as soon as the power was turned on. I contacted Mark and we both agreed that the inrush was too great for the delay so he graciouslly agreed to send me two more with an extended delay to fix the issue. As much as I’d like to say the second set worked perfectly they failed in the same way only it took a little longer. I once again contacted Mark and he then had his engineer get hold of me and we solved the problem by simply doing an amp draw at start up. The new units were designed to work with my amps start up draw and they worked perfectly. My thanks to Mark and his crew for taking the time and having the patience in dealing with this frustrating issue. Now, what have they done for the amps, all I can say is they have an extended range, I am hearing more music, there is a clarity that just wasn’t there before and I find myself listening far more than before. Very pleased with the purchase and very pleased with the company.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is the Swiss Digital Fuse Box (SDFB)?
The SDFB is a device designed to improve the performance of your audio equipment by eliminating the weakest link in every system, which is the Fuse. The Fuse degrades with time and actually imparts an Impedance in and of itself. The SDFB is MicroProcessor Controlled and uses a State-of-the-Art Hall Effect Sensor to PROTECT your equipment.
How does the SDFB enhance audio performance?
By replacing conventional fuses with a metal rod called Sluggo, the SDFB reduces resistance and allows for better current flow, leading to improved midrange and treble clarity, increased power handling, and a more defined soundstage. We can promise a more refined bottom end as well.
Is the SDFB compatible with all audio equipment?
The SDFB is designed to be compatible with a wide range of audio equipment. However, it's essential to verify compatibility with your specific devices before installation. Please contact us here. Fuse Box works with gear rated at 500mA to 12 amps, with either Fast or Slow Blow varieties.
How does the SDFB provide protection without a traditional fuse?
The SDFB utilizes a microprocessor coupled to our precision Hall Effect Sensor / and Relay to monitor power flow, automatically opening the circuit in case of anomalies, thus providing protection without the need for a traditional fuse.
Can the SDFB be used in European audio systems?
Yes, SDFB is available in three voltage configurations:
- 110v, 60Hz
- 220/240v, 50Hz
- 220/240v, 60Hz (rare but used in a few parts of the world)
For users in the EU or parts of Asia, we recommend the following setup to ensure optimal performance without the need for adapters:
- Input Connection: Use your existing power cord to connect the wall outlet (whether Schuko or 3-blade US plug, as used in some regions) to the input side of the SDFB.
- Output Connection: Consider using one of our NEMA 15-type Piggy Tail power cables to connect the output of the SDFB to the IEC input of your audio equipment.
This configuration has been successfully implemented by over 200 SDFB users in the EU, delivering safe and exceptional results.
By following this setup, you can seamlessly integrate the SDFB into your system, enhancing performance while maintaining safety and compatibility.
What is the role of the Piggy Tail power cable in the SDFB setup?
The Piggy Tail is a short power cable designed to connect the SDFB's output to your audio equipment's power input, ensuring a secure and efficient connection.
Does the SDFB require any special installation procedures?
Installation of the SDFB involves replacing the existing fuse with the provided solid copper rod and connecting the device using the appropriate power cables. It's recommended to follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines or consult a professional.

The Caldera 10s blend nicely with my Wharfedale EVO4.2s (big bookshelf speakers). The 10s were initially a little boomy in my small room, but blocking the vents yields pleasingly crisp bass. I plugged my integrated amp & the 10s into a "smart power strip" - so that switching on the amplifier energizes the outlets for the 10s. I'm really pleased with my purchase, and I'm relistening to my whole collection to hear the improvement.

I have 2 Caldera 12 subs. My wife think they look great and I love the sound of them. They blend so seamlessly with my Spatial Audio open baffle speakers. My only issue is with the auto on/ off…. It cuts off too quickly when no signal is present while the music is playing and then it cuts back on when signal is present while the music is playing… the problem is the switching on/off is audible. It distracts from the illusion of musicians playing in front of me. Of course I just leave them on now for a work around. Other than that it is a great piece of equipment that I am proud to own… to say nothing of its price/ value and quality. It sets it apart from a lot of budget subs and on par with the best
我的系统有两条HIFI专线:
A线路:Aurender N150,Innuos Phoenix USB Reclocker,精音DAC-D1000 MK2(R2R)。
我将SnubWay(2个)和Main Stream(1个)放置在以下位置:
SnubWay #1:插入A线路的Sierra 20A镀金背插座,通过Hubbell橡胶插头转接线与CARDAS Clear Power电源线并联,供电给Aurender N150数播。
SnubWay #2:插入B线路的A&H-H 6262-2 DELUXE电木插座,通过电木插头转接线接入,与A.R.T.

I have bought the Mainstream AC conditioner and the Snubway as well a few weeks ago. I can say that I was a little sceptical because I have a very high revealing system ,so how much better can it get? Well the first 150 hours were very subtle in audible differences but something was going on as I was starting to feel the music differently. The week after, I started to play some vinyls and WOW! I was so excited that I had to write to Mark to tell him he’s got 2 great products. The music sounded more live and detailed with a great soundstage pinpointing the instruments a notch above before. I need to mention a thank you to Mark, a real gentleman. He will answer any questions you may have regarding any issues you may have.I recommend both products as they complement each other. Thanks again to Mark and can’t wait for his next winner.

Having already experimented with a range of aftermarket fuses in my system, including the AM Ultimate Premier, AM M1, SR Orange, SR Purple, SR Pink, SR Master, Hifi-Tuning, and Gustard, I have developed a particular fondness for the SR Purple, Pink, and Master fuses, owning multiple units of each. After encountering several positive reviews about the SDFB, I decided to try it paired with the Graphene Sluggo in my Lampizator TRP II DAC.
The Lampizator TRP II is highly responsive to tuning components, making it an ideal candidate for the SDFB. The results were nothing short of remarkable. The soundstage expanded, the dynamics of the music became even more pronounced, and the spatial depth of the audio improved significantly. Additionally, all frequencies seemed to receive a more balanced enhancement. It was as though the SDFB took an already exceptional-sounding system and elevated it across every dimension.
Impressed with the performance, I immediately ordered additional SDFBs. In summary, the SDFB is an outstanding tuning component that delivers impressive results at a very reasonable price, making it a highly recommended upgrade for any audiophile seeking to refine their system.
Cheerz over the pond
Usé

I have 2x Snubway + 2x Mainstream plugs connected to my Ansuz power distributor. My system never sounded better!
I was initially skeptical, but there are really safely amazing to use...even in very high-end systems.

The first 30 hours I heard the potential but the tone seemed off. Now about 60 hours in I am totally blown away! The biggest improvement is the soundstage and imaging. The SDFB on my amp has freed the music from my speakers. It is just there, in front of you. The speakers disappear (hard to do with 5 foot tall, 2 feet wide Acoustats). The depth is incredible! The background is quiet and black, details just jump out of the mix. Amp seems more powerful, more dynamic.
I still think it would be even better without having to use another separate power cord, and I intend to try to use adapters with the SDFB to compare against the Piggy. But the Extreme Piggy is very good.
This is one of 5he best tweaks I have tried. Highly recommended!

These stands are much more substantial than my previous pangea stands.. and use 4 metal posts instead of the pangeas 3 that were smaller in diameter. The top plate is also much bigger, which I really appreciate. My speakers perfectly fit on the top plate like they were designed for each other! Speakers are selah voce, pictured here https://ibb.co/vS5znHV
